Rulings
Misdeals, exposed cards, string bets, action out of turn, the one-chip rule and incomplete all-in raises. House rules may differ, and the app says when.

How to calculate side pots
When players are all in for different amounts, the pot splits into layers. Each player can only win the layers they paid into.
- Find the smallest all-in. Multiply it by the number of players who put in at least that much. That's the main pot.
- Take that amount off every player's total and repeat with the next smallest all-in. That's side pot 1, then side pot 2, and so on.
- If one player put in more than anyone could call, return the extra to that player. It isn't part of any pot.
- At showdown, award the last side pot first and the main pot last.
Example: Seat 2 is all in for $100, Seat 5 for $250, and Seat 8 calls with $400.

How do I practice for a poker dealer audition?
Auditions usually have you deal a few hands while the floor watches how accurately you read hands, build side pots, take the rake and handle mistakes. Practice those pieces until they are automatic: read the winner on every board, split pots out by all-in levels, and learn the common rulings. Dealer Drills gives you timed rounds of each, plus a mixed audition mode.
Does Dealer Drills teach shuffling and pitching?

How do you calculate a side pot in poker?
